Worcester Radio Part 5

As a teenager growing up, the radio station of choice was WAAF, 107.3fm. They played all the hits you now hear on classic rock stations. Zeppelin, The Who, Jethro Tull, etc, all in "Stereo Rock". It was before "Kick Ass". The studios were located on 34 Mechanics Street in The Cocaine Reality Building, along with WAAB 1440am, and their transmitting antenna was on Asnebumskit Hill in Paxton. This area helped give birth to all FM broadcasting in the United States, and at one time it was also host to Worcesters first television station, Channel 14.
WAAF moved to Boston via Framingham and gave up on Worcester many years ago.
The only live broadcasting done from there now is at the WTAG/WSRS studios. I was temped to knock on their door, but decided to wait and see if they ever get back to me on my request to visit them I made 5 months ago...
